NEW TO SPIRITUALISM

If you are of the opinion that you are a physical body and nothing more than that, then you may find it difficult to accept what Spiritualism tries to prove. However, if you are open to the possibility that there is a non-physical side to a person, then Spiritualism does have a great deal to offer you.

Spiritualism aims to prove that within all of us exists a spirit / soul. This non-physical side to us exists after our physical body has come to an end and also existed before we incarnated into this physical world. Life, conscious awareness and love, all carry on existing after our physical death. This is why it is possible for communication to take place between the two states of existence. The physical body is a temporary vehicle we use in a material world.

Spiritualism aims to help us to understand why our spirit / soul has incarnated into this physical world and how we can best live our lives so that we fulfil our purpose for coming here.

You do not have to believe in God and we will not tell you what you should or should not do. We do not expect you to agree with everything we say, however, we do encourage you to think and reason things out for yourself. If you find it hard to accept what we say, then you would be right to reject it. If you are unsure, then put it to one side and look at it again sometime in the future. We can only build our lives on what we consider to be true.

If you have come from another religion, then it is important that you do not discard what you already regard as the truth. We can always add more truth to what we already have, for there is always a greater understanding for us to become aware of. We all have a lot to learn and we can all improve ourselves as individuals.

Communication between those who have passed on and us here in the physical world, is possible. Our loved ones communicate with us via a clairvoyant medium, with the intention of letting us know that life and love carries on in a non-physical form. They want to speak to us and express their love towards us. They want to give us comfort, upliftment and guidance. They want us to know that they are alright and they want us to find the truth that they have now found. They also try to give us proof that they still exist albeit in a non-physical form.

Spiritualism teaches us that everyone is a spiritual being expressing themselves through a physical body, that life and love will survive our physical death. Spiritualism teaches that God or perfect love exists within every individual and that all our life experiences are designed to make this love a reality in our lives. Spiritualism helps people to understand the true meaning of the word ‘love’, and encourages people to express love towards themselves, other people, the animal kingdom and the whole of creation. It also helps people to receive love in all its different forms. This is what will make us better people and the world a better place.

Love can be expressed in many forms; kindness, forgiveness, compassion, tolerance, helpfulness, co-operation, trust, acceptance, friendship, equality, sympathy, honesty, caring, affection, patience, humility, comforting, empathy, unselfishness, giving, service, gentleness, consideration for others, encouragement, listening, sharing and more. Every day will provide us with opportunities to improve on at least one of these.

Please reason these words out for yourself.
